It's all fun and games

I'm a Rochester Institute of Technology Graduate from their Game Design and Development program. I'm currently looking for an entry-level, game-play programming or design position in the games industry. I enjoy turning a simple game idea into a flushed-out user experience. If I'm not behind a computer crunching code or running raids with my clan, hosting D&D sessions, or traveling across the country to experience new places.

What Lies Beneath

What Lies Beneath is a location-based augmented reality game set in Dubrovnik. While playing, the user could walk around the old town of Dubrovnik and partake in various puzzles and quests. I personally prototyped and helped implement the user interface. I also helped shape and streamline the user experience.

Voxel Dodge

Voxel Dodge is a 3D infinite runner I developed using a private library. The basis of the game is you're a spaceship attempting to dodge a vast expanse of cubes. If you hit 3 cubes, you lose. You try to survive as long as possible. I was tasked with implementing custom models and textures for the game's assets and implementing oct-tree for spatial optimization.

Samurai Shift

Samurai Shift is a Puzzle-Platforming game where the user plays a Samurai attempting to navigate a space ship. The player could use their grappling hook and ability to change the direction of gravity to help move around and clear puzzles. I personally programmed and debugged the Grappling Hook and worked with my team to establish coding standards and a central state machine to control the physics acting on the player.

Insomnia

Insomnia is a survival horror game set during a black-out. After your power goes out you investigate to realize that your house is now shifting around you. Your only source of light is your phone and it's about to die. I modeled the lighter and candle, created the pickups for them, and helped with the lighting of the game.

Interned for Arkadium Games from July to September 2015. I helped rotate monthly levels and created new levels for the game.

Atomic Launcher

Game jam game made under the theme of education. The game teaches users about molecular structures by having them launch elements into the right positions. I programmed the launcher from how it moved to the balls and how they flew. I also created levels and fact sheets for some of the compounds used in the game.
